Chili Meetings is a powerful tool that can help you convert your most interested leads into instant meetings. Our Concierge feature integrates with any web form, allowing inbound leads to schedule a meeting with the correct rep, immediately upon completing your form. You can’t make it any easier than that!
But sometimes, a last second distraction or competing task can keep an inbound prospect from completing the booking process. While with most scheduling tools that lead would be lost forever, with Chili Meetings you can recapture what we call “abandoning bookers” and save the opportunity.
In this article, I’ll share five of our favorite tips for recapturing abandoning bookers using Chili Meetings and Concierge.
With Concierge, you can auto-redirect prospects to a different landing page when they fail to book a meeting. This gives you a second chance to grab their attention and restart the booking process.
As you can see from our landing page above, we make the point of the page very clear and use humor (hey, whatever it takes) to recapture their attention.
This is a simple setting you can turn on in your Concierge Router. Click here for a quick how-to guide.

If your prospect remains on your website, you have the opportunity to start a conversation over chat.
With tools like Drift and Intercom, you can re-engage abandoning bookers, ask additional qualifying questions, provide helpful information, and get that meeting back on the calendar.
In the example below, Emotive uses Drift to ask additional qualifying questions before booking a meeting with prospects.
This is a great example of something you can add to your dedicated landing page for abandoning bookers, as a way to save your meeting.
Queues aren’t just useful when booking meetings – they can also act as a standalone lead routing tool.
In the case of an abandoned booker, since they’ve successfully completed your lead capture form, you have all the information you need to automatically route the lead to the correct BDR/SDR.
Check out this help article to see how you can create this type of lead routing queue in Chili Meetings.
With your lead now assigned to a BDR/SDR it’s mega important to call them ASAP – within five minutes based on recent speed to lead statistics.
Prospects that fill out an inbound form on your website are your hottest leads. Just because they got distracted in the last second of booking, doesn’t mean they didn’t have high purchasing intent just a moment before.
That’s why it’s always a good idea to ask for a phone number in your lead capture form, or use a lead enrichment service like Clearbit.
If you can’t connect over the phone, your next best option is to add your lead to a special cadence meant for abandoning bookers – one that makes it super easy to finish booking their meeting.
To do this, each email should include suggested times or a smart booking link.
Use Instant Booker to add suggested times to your cadences in tools like Outreach and Salesloft to make it easy for your prospect to book their meeting in one click.
If you’d prefer to use a booking link, make sure to add ?id={email merge tag} at the end of the URL. This will allow them to bypass any forms and book the meeting in one click.
That concludes our five tips for recapturing your abandoning bookers using Chili Meetings. Thanks for reading!
I challenge you to implement some (if not all) of the ideas above and see how it impacts your booking success rates.
